Schleps is a commercial mail receiving agency (CMRA) which is a designation awarded by the United States Postal Service that allows us to receive mail on your behalf. In order to authorize us to receive your mail, you have to fill out Form 1583.
In addition to filling out Form 1583, you have to provide two forms of identification. The first form of ID serves to verify your photo. The second form is an address verification. You cannot use the same form of Id to check both boxes. The photo and address verifying IDs have to be different.
Per the instructions, you have to sign Form 1583 in the presence of a authorized staff member of the CMRA. This can be done in-person or virtually. You can come into the store at 1507 Frankford Avenue to complete Form 1583, or you can schedule a virtual session with us. We have a Notary Public on staff.
